World enters new form of warfare, DRONE WARFARE, instead of boots on the ground // Afghanistan // SCIENCE COUNCIL RULES EARTH.
Last time I wrote to this book, my 47th published book of science was in June 2021 on the topic of cheetah's returning to India. What a beautiful story that made my day in June.
And I am glad we have a new president, president Biden, a normal president that does not cause me to have to almost enter a new page in this political science book, almost every other day, under the tumultuous Trump era presidency. For under Trump, it felt like the Capitol Building was being raided every day, and not just the one day. A good description of the Trump presidency would be "Tumult years". And some of that tumult caused me to have to write articles so often to this book. But since Biden came into office, I have barely written at all.
But now I see the evacuation of Afghanistan and the coming to power of the Taliban once again after 20 years of absence. And I see a mass exit at the Kabul airport.
And I see and hear pundits all over the TV news, saying this and that.
So I want to offer my humble opinion on the future of warfare, as clearly seen by these last days in Afghanistan.
And the writing is on the wall, clearly on the wall for all to see, unless you are living in a cave for the last 20 years.
The ascendency of the Drone as a war weapon.
If we had had the Drone as we have it today, back in 2001, and with sharp intelligent leadership, we could have wiped out the terrorist groups that caused 9/11/2001 with never a soldier's boots on the ground. We could have done it all, from drones.
Instead of ever going into Afghanistan and staying for 20 years, we could have accomplished all of that with only the use of drones.
Going forward, there is never any more need to send troops on the ground, when Drones can do all that is needed.
And the other major political issue is mass migration, mass fleeing of a country.
And here again, Drones can be the main weapon of choice. For what causes mass flight of people, mass immigration are countries with poor governments, and the drones take out those poor governments so the people stop fleeing.
Some people have seen the powerful effectiveness of drones. Drones killed many al Qaeda, even killed the Iranian military leader recently. And, if the Taliban get out of bounds, the drones can stop them also.
In fact, if we had had drones like we have today, in the Iraq Saddam Hussein war, the Drones could have completely handled the war, but perhaps let Saddam hide away, but more importantly, stopped the war and never any boots on the ground.
In fact, the Syria crisis could have all be shut down in a few days if Drones had been applied.
Can Drones solve North Korea? That is a bit more tough, but I am confident that drones can play a major role in keeping North Korea in check.
