It would have been self adjusting if they hadn't insisted on building
right up to the beach edge. You reap what you sow.

I'm pretty sure "Dr. Kensi" agrees with Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) that
like Guam all the people moving to Hawaii is causing the island to tip
over!

they could easily build a wall out in the water about 1000 foot from the
beach, and pump out the excess. no big deal

That would destroy property values and The President would lose money
and get windmill cancer. Also, 138 million people would die.

Also, note that shorelines of lakes and oceans have changed within

Exploring the waters around Castel dell'Ovo, a team of divers found four

Naples is different. Naples is built on top of a sleeping supervolcano.
And as it turns over in its sleep parts of the ground above it rise or
lower by as much as tens of meters over time.

Possibly the world's stupidest place to build a city. Vesuvius is a pimple
on the ass of this much larger volcano. When it goes off it will make the
eruption that wiped out Pompeii look like a kid's firecracker by
comparison.

No. The moron who decided to build a city there is thousands of years
dead, so unless Trump has a time machine, an hypothesis for which no
evidence has as yet been presented, then it couldn't possibly be his
fault, unlike the coming economic catastrophe.

they could easily build a wall out in the water about 1000 foot
from the beach, and pump out the excess. no big deal
That would destroy property values and The President would lose
money and get windmill cancer. Also, 138 million people would die.
Also, note that shorelines of lakes and oceans have changed within
recorded history.

Exploring the waters around Castel dell'Ovo, a team of divers
found four tunnels about ten metres below the surface, which they
believe could have been used to moor ships some 25 centuries ago,
when the water level was lower.
Naples is different. Naples is built on top of a sleeping
supervolcano. And as it turns over in its sleep parts of the ground
above it rise or lower by as much as tens of meters over time.
Possibly the world's stupidest place to build a city. Vesuvius is a
pimple on the ass of this much larger volcano. When it goes off it
will make the eruption that wiped out Pompeii look like a kid's
firecracker by comparison.
Will you blame Trump?
No. The moron who decided to build a city there is thousands of years
dead, so unless Trump has a time machine, an hypothesis for which no
evidence has as yet been presented, then it couldn't possibly be his
fault, unlike the coming economic catastrophe.
The economy is better now than it has been in a long time.
They said the same thing midway through October 1929.

"The crash of 1929 and the Great Depression did not come without
warnings. There were numerous writings on the wall and many brilliant
economists and investrors, such as Ludwig von Mises and Jesse Livermore,
predicted correctly that the collapse of USA economy was imminent.
Ludwig von Mises refused job at the largest Austrian bank, Kreditanstalt
, because he did not want to be responsible for the crash. This bank
collapsed couple years later and brought Germany into chaos that
catapulted Adolf Hitler to power. In USA people who expected stock
market crash were often ridiculed and the loudest investors were
upholding belief, that the market reached permanently high plateau.
However, these people did not read economic news correctly. Real estate
in Florida was already crashing since 1926; agriculture production,
which was still important in Europe and USA, was in recession by 1928;
and industrial production was falling throughout 1929. People income was
stagnant throughout the 1920’s, and boom was financed with extensive
credit. Many small banks that depended on farmers started to have
problem prior the crash, and big investor banks suffered from trade
imbalances between Europe and USA. Bank of England mismanagement and
Germany’s postwar reparation caused widespread transfer of investments
that were often handled by USA banks. The crash started, when British
and Dutch investors were suddenly selling large holding of USA stocks.
Economists who were aware of economic problems of UK, Germany, and USA
new that there was significant overcapacity of production that was ripe
for deep correction. "

It will be China and USA this time around.
It's already hurting them more than us. They built their whole economy on
the presumption that they'd always have an unlimited market in the US.
We've been funding their military buildup and island building ambitions.
That's starting to change.

Can't work, Sergio. What with sea levels rapidly rising from climate
change and even worse, the increased frequency and severity of tropical
storms pretty soon water is sloshing over your wall! That is a given!

There is only ONE real solution. One must stop everything from producing
CO2. Oh Ya!

Good place for sea walls.Revere Beach had one,and its huge rocks were from Canada. It was built in 1920. As a kid you could find Maine lobster between the rocks in low tide. bert
